Looking for a BidPrime alternative?
BidPrime built the broadest bid database in this category — 110,000+ monitored public sources, refreshed roughly every 45 minutes, with attachments pulled for you. It earned that reputation. It also stopped publishing a price, and 2026 renewal quotes have pushed a number of long-time customers to start looking around.
- Published $39/mo Premium vs quote-only pricing re-quoted every renewal
- Cancel in-app — monthly or annual, your choice
- Federal SAM + direct SLED feeds, deepest in TX, NY, IL, VA and the DC-metro corridor
- Incumbent, comparable-award and set-aside eligibility intel included, not upsold
What BidPrime actually does well
BidPrime monitors over 110,000 public sources and refreshes roughly every 45 minutes — federal, state, local, education and a long tail of agency portals most tools never bother scraping. When a solicitation posts anywhere in that universe, BidPrime is usually one of the first tools to have it, attachments included, so you are not the one registering on forty different portals just to read a spec.
For a contractor who genuinely bids across dozens of jurisdictions and needs maximum breadth above everything else, that coverage is real and hard to replicate. We are not going to pretend otherwise.
Where the relationship usually breaks
BidPrime does not publish pricing. Third-party estimates put it anywhere from roughly $1,500 to $12,000-plus per year depending on modules and seats, and a number of customers have reported 2026 renewal quotes coming in well above what they paid the year before — with the new number arriving as a quote from a sales rep, not a page you can check yourself.
That works fine until the renewal conversation. Plenty of small and mid-size contractors do not need 110,000 sources; they need the twenty or so agencies and portals where they actually bid, covered reliably, at a price that does not require a phone call to find out.
What GovBidWire does instead
GovBidWire is not trying to out-cover BidPrime nationally — we would lose that fight, and we are not going to pretend otherwise. What we do is cover federal opportunities everywhere plus direct state and local feeds with real depth in Texas, New York, Illinois, Virginia and the wider DC-metro corridor, and we are upfront about where that depth stops rather than selling "nationwide" coverage that is thin everywhere.
Inside that footprint you get the same category of intelligence BidPrime charges enterprise rates for elsewhere: incumbent and recompete signals, comparable awards with pricing percentiles, buyer and contracting-officer history, and set-aside eligibility guidance checked against your company profile — all included in the $39/month price, not a separate module.
The honest trade-off
If your pipeline genuinely depends on catching obscure postings across dozens of states the day they land, BidPrime’s breadth is doing real work for you, and switching away from it would cost you bids. That is a real cost, not a hypothetical one, and we would rather say so than win you on a comparison page and lose you two months in.
If your bidding actually concentrates in federal work plus a handful of states — which describes most small and mid-size contractors, whatever their subscription covers on paper — the question worth asking before your next renewal invoice is how much of that 110,000-source breadth you have ever actually used.

Stay with BidPrime if
Your pipeline depends on catching postings across dozens of states and obscure local portals the day they land, you actually use the breadth you are paying for, and the price is not the problem.
Try GovBidWire if
You bid federal plus a handful of states — especially Texas, New York, Illinois or Virginia — you just got a renewal quote higher than last year’s, and you would rather see the price on a page than negotiate it every twelve months.
