What does GovWin IQ actually cost?

Deltek does not publish a price for GovWin IQ. Here is what third parties report, why the quote gate exists, and what the same job costs at $39 a month.

What is GovWin IQ?

GovWin IQ is Deltek’s government market-intelligence subscription. It combines a database of federal, state and local opportunities with analyst-written research on programs that have not been posted yet, plus tools for tracking a pursuit. It is built mainly for capture and business-development teams at mid-size and large contractors.

Deltek does not publish a price

This is the whole reason you are searching. GovWin IQ’s own plans and pricing page carries no dollar figures at all — the call to action is “Try GovWin IQ for FREE”, which routes you to a form and then to a salesperson. There is no rate card to read, no per-seat number to budget against, and no way to size the commitment before you have had the conversation.

That is a deliberate enterprise sales model rather than anything underhanded, and it works well for the buyer it is designed for. But it does mean that a two-person firm trying to work out whether bid intelligence is worth it has to book a call to find out — and that is a real barrier when you are still testing whether this category helps you at all.

What third parties report

Because Deltek stays quiet, the public figures all come from review sites and buyers comparing notes. Treat them as estimates rather than a rate card: ITQlick reports GovWin IQ starting around $200 per user per month, roughly $1,800 a month at ten users, with one-time implementation from about $5,000 for a small business up to $50,000 or more for an enterprise rollout. Their first-year estimate for a ten-user team lands between roughly $26,600 and $71,600.

The spread in those numbers is the point. Enterprise pricing is negotiated per deal, so what you are quoted depends on seat count, modules, contract length and how well you negotiate. Anyone quoting you a single precise figure for GovWin — including a competitor’s comparison page — is guessing. Ask Deltek directly and hold them to it in writing.

Why the price is high, and when it is worth it

GovWin is not expensive by accident. A large part of what you are buying is human analyst work: pre-RFP intelligence gathered by researchers who call agencies, track programs through budget cycles, and surface opportunities months before anything is posted publicly. That is genuinely expensive to produce and there is no free version of it.

If your firm bids large federal programs, staffs a capture team, and wins work by knowing about a procurement a year out, that spend is defensible and you should not talk yourself out of it on price alone. The mismatch is when a small firm buys an enterprise research platform to answer a much simpler question: what is open right now that I could bid this month?

What GovBidWire costs, and what it is

Premium is $39 a month. Team is $149 a month. Both are on the pricing page, both bill monthly, and both cancel from your account without an email or a retention call. Premium can also be paid $400 a year if you would rather pay once, but that is an option you choose, not the way in. The first fourteen days are free with documents unlocked and no credit card required, so you can answer “does this find work I would actually bid?” before spending anything.

For a single seat that is roughly eighty percent below the per-user figure third parties report for GovWin, and the gap widens once implementation fees enter the picture, because there are none here — you sign up and search.

What you get for it: federal SAM coverage across all fifty states by place of performance, direct state and local feeds in 30+ states, keyword search that reaches inside bid documents, NAICS and set-aside filters, saved searches as daily email alerts, plus incumbent and comparable award history on Premium.

What you give up

We do not have an analyst team. GovWin’s pre-solicitation intelligence — the part that tells you about a program before it is public — has no equivalent here, and if your pipeline depends on knowing about procurements a year out, that is a real gap and price is not the deciding factor.

We also do not match their teaming and partner data, their depth on federal contact records, or their coverage of every county and municipal portal in the country. Our coverage is federal-wide plus direct feeds in 30+ states, deepest in Texas, New York, Illinois, Georgia, Florida, North Carolina and California. If most of your work sits outside those, search the site before you subscribe — the free tier exists so you can check that honestly.

How to decide without booking a call

Ask yourself which question you are actually trying to answer. If it is “what should we be positioning for in eighteen months”, that is capture intelligence and GovWin is built for it. If it is “what is open now that fits us, and how do I stop missing deadlines”, that is bid discovery, and paying enterprise capture prices for it is the mismatch.

The cheap test: run our fourteen-day trial and set up two saved searches matching the work you actually bid. If the daily email surfaces solicitations you would have wanted to see, the question is answered for $39. If it does not, you have lost nothing and you can go book the demo knowing what you need.
